Dystopia
- posted in
Dystopia is a hallucinatory tale of coercion, control and strict surveillance.
The protagonist, George Hellas, after a sad childhood and a tragic accident, becomes a robot.
Hellas, being made of artificial grafts and technological prostheses that actively communicate with the body, can improve and evolve through upgrades to his hardware. For example, it can acquire new senses or an interface that allows it to communicate telepathically with computers.
All this is governed by Asimov’s three famous rules of robotics:
1. a robot may not harm humans
2. it must obey orders and…
3. must safeguard its own existence, provided this does not conflict with the First and Second Laws.
